Police Now was founded in 2015 with a mission to recruit, develop and inspire leaders in policing.

We do this by attracting, recruiting and training graduates with leadership potential to be inspirational detectives and neighbourhood police officers who transform communities.

The impact that Police Now participants, alumni and partners have is at the core of everything we do, underpinned by a commitment to evaluation and continuous improvement. To monitor progress against our Case for Change and develop our programmes using an evidence-based approach, we gather and analyse data covering attraction, recruitment, diversity and inclusion, participant experience, attitudes and progression. Despite the challenges of doing so, Police Now also analyses data on crime, anti-social behaviour (ASB) and public confidence in the police in the communities where Police Now participants are posted, working in partnership with independent researchers and academic partners.

Whether you are new to Police Now or are familiar with our work, we hope this research provides further insight into our progress to date and shows how we are using evidence and feedback to drive improvements in our programmes and better understand the impact of Police Now participants and their colleagues.
