Fighting crime, protecting people. This is Northamptonshire Police’s mission and is at the heart of everything they do. They want their communities to feel safe and supported, and will work together to deliver an exceptional service to the people of Northamptonshire.

Police Now has recruited, trained and developed graduates in over 30+ forces to become police officers and detectives on our national graduate programme since 2017.

Northamptonshire Police

Covering 914 square miles and policing a diverse population of over 802,000, Northamptonshire Police employ over 1,500 police officers across the countyThey receive, on average, 880 calls a day and at least 60 online reports daily, and have recorded upwards of 60,000 crimes over the past year.

Despite this, Northamptonshire Police recognise there are a number of crime rates that pose a challenge to the force and the people of Northamptonshire. They are committed to cracking down on these crimes and making a positive difference within our communities.

Our focus on diversity and inclusion

Northamptonshire Police are committed to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. Our mission is to serve our communities. The most effective way we can do this is if the people who work for us are representative of our communities.

We are working hard to increase diversity and inclusion where communities are currently under-represented.

We want to encourage people of diverse backgrounds, experience and beliefs, who share our value of caring and want to make a difference in the community, to work for us.

“I did not let the fact that I am a career-changer and a member of the LGBTQ+ community stop me from joining policing. I thought I might be the oldest at Police Now’s academy but there was a really diverse mix of people there, working towards the same goal.”
