2027 Police Now National Graduate Programme - Neighbourhood
Start date: March 2027
Salary: £31,164 – £42,210

2027 Police Now National Graduate Programme - Detective
Start date: March 2027
Salary: £31,164 – £38,269
Locations: Devon and Cornwall, Dorset, Lincolnshire, London, North Wales
Detectives work on varied investigations, support victims of crime; and bring offenders to justice.

West Midlands Police is the second largest police force in the country, covering an area of 348 square miles and serving a population of almost 2.8 million.
The region sits at the very heart of the country and covers the three major centres of Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton. It also includes the busy and thriving districts of Sandwell, Walsall, Solihull and Dudley. Leisure, retail and conference amenities, together with Premiership and Championship football and Rugby teams, attract millions of visitors annually. Preparations are also well underway for hosting Coventry City of Culture in 2021 and the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in 2022.

Core requirements
To be eligible to join West Midlands Police, you must:
- Have achieved, or be working towards, a 2.2 undergraduate degree programme start date.
- Be a British citizen, or have indefinite leave to remain or settled status, with the right to work in the UK.
- Have lived in the UK for the last three years.
- Have a full UK manual driving licence (if you don't yet have your licence, you must have your practical driving test booked at the point of application).
