Core requirements
To be eligible to join The Metropolitan Police, you must:
- Have achieved, or be working towards, a 2.2 undergraduate degree taught in the English Language by programme start date. If you have completed your degree(s) in another language, you can alternatively provide evidence of a Level 2 English Language qualification.
- Be a British citizen, or have indefinite leave to remain or settled status, with the right to work in the UK.
- Have lived in the UK for at least 3 years*
*Counter Terrorism specialism requires 10 years’ UK residency.
