Police Now ranks in The Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List as it continues to drive equity, diversity and inclusion

Police Now is leading the way in fostering Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), as it once again ranks in the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List.
EDI is embedded as a core component of Police Now’s organisational strategy, with robust accountability mechanisms in place for driving EDI across every department and at every level. By making EDI one of its top organisational priorities, Police Now role models best practice and aims to drive the policing sector to become more inclusive and truly representative of the communities it serves.
Police Now HQ was selected for the coveted Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List for consistently harnessing best practice and innovation across a range of areas and for its inclusive policies and procedures. This includes its internal events and recognition, recruitment processes, accessible working spaces, and performance management. It has recently introduced a network of EDI Champions and enhanced its EDI strategy, alongside hosting regular internal events to improve knowledge and create space for open and honest conversations regarding EDI.
Colleagues across the organisation come from all walks of life, united in their passion for driving improvements across policing and leveraging their diverse experiences and expertise to build an inclusive internal culture. Across Police Now HQ, 28% of employees identify as from Black, Asian, or ethnic minority heritage, 17% identify as having a disability, 12% identify as LGBTQ+ and 66% identify as women.
Police Now’s Chief Executive Officer Kurtis Christoforides said: “To realise their full benefits, equity, diversity and inclusion need to be embedded meaningfully – not just performatively – at every level of an organisation, driven by leaders who act with authenticity and have a genuine emotional connection to doing what is right.
“Despite its many successes, the sector we operate in faces challenges and has some distance to travel before it is unequivocally representative, inclusive, and just. We are working to be part of that journey, and our headquarters is filled with passionate colleagues from different walks of life, united by a common mission and desire to help policing be better, for everyone.
“Whilst we aren’t perfect and don’t get everything right, our top priority at Police Now is to be a role model organisation in the areas of leadership, wellbeing, EDI, efficiency and effectiveness. In so doing, I aim to give a clear message to our people – those within our head office as well as the talented individuals who join our national policing programmes – that these things matter and are worth their time and energy.”
Paul Sesay, Founder and CEO of Inclusive Companies said: “Each year we receive 100s of entries from organisations who submit a huge amount of evidence in respect of their inclusive practices, covering a wide range of areas and topics. The Inclusive Top 50 List recognises employers whose culture ensures diversity and inclusion are embedded into everything they practice with the judges looking for organisations which show consistent activity and evidence of sustainable change.”
Police Now ranked at number 34 in the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List this year. The list is the only benchmarking tool in the UK that highlights the outstanding efforts of organisations that truly drive and embed EDI internally across all protected characteristics, at every level of employment.
Police Now HQ also achieved Great Place to Work Certification this year, which is the global benchmark for identifying and recognising outstanding employee experience within a workplace.
