Wiltshire Police careers

Wiltshire Police serves over 1,300 square miles in the historic South West County of Wiltshire. The population of Wiltshire is on the rise and is mostly rural with three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty covering almost half of the county: The Cotswolds, Cranborne Chase & West Wiltshire Downs, and the North Wessex Downs. Some of the towns in Wiltshire are also considerably more diverse than the Wiltshire average.

While Wiltshire is among one of the safest counties to live in, some of the most occurring crimes that have been reported in recent years were violent and sexual offences, Antisocial Behaviour (ASB), and criminal damage and arson.

Wiltshire Police is one of the smallest, and the oldest county police forces in the country. The force prides themselves on looking after their people, and their wellness culture is central to everything they do, and their passion is to deliver outstanding service to the public.

Our focus on diversity and inclusion

Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy has helped us improve workforce diversity, however we are still not fully representative of minority groups.

We encourage applications from diverse communities and support employees from underrepresented groups, helping them build their career with us.

We listen to our staff and officers and encourage open communication. We have regular forums with the Chief Constable and actively promote opportunities to feedback on our goals, ideas and progress.

We respect that our people have their own voice and give opportunities for them to use it.
