The Home Office national campaign to recruit 20,000 new police officers is the biggest in decades and represents a commitment to increase police numbers by 20,000 new officers over the next three years.

Join the police to make a real difference to some of the most vulnerable people in society, while developing leadership skills for life in a unique environment no other graduate opportunity can offer.

As part of this activity, Police Now is working in partnership with the Home Office to recruit a large number of outstanding graduates to become the next generation of leaders in policing.

Police Now graduate programmes are challenging and intensely rewarding. You’ll get used to performing under pressure, with a continuous cycle of growth and development.

You’ll develop your skills in negotiation, problem solving, decision-making, as well as your resilience and emotional intelligence, allowing you to perform at the highest level as a police officer.

Our two-year programme provides you with the professional development and structure to become an outstanding neighbourhood police officer.

National Graduate Leadership Programme

As a neighbourhood police officer you will work within diverse communities, devise long term strategic solutions and work collaboratively in a multi agency approach to solve crimes and systemic problems.

Join the Police: Police graduate scheme for outstanding graduates

Police Now’s national graduate programmes are unique graduate schemes especially designed to inspire and train ambitious graduates to become leaders in policing.

Our salaried two year programmes start with an intensive multi-week academy course, followed by two years on the job training in a specific community with your chosen police force.

Over two years you’ll be given the freedom to own and develop innovative ideas and techniques to tackle some of the long-term problems affecting the community. You’ll see and experience real results from the work you do during our programmes.

Our leadership and development officers will be with you every step of the way, helping set ambitious objectives to develop your leadership skills in an environment no other graduate scheme can offer.
